Booking FAQS

What happens when I book and when are payments due?

When you make a booking and pay the 15% non- refundable deposit (this must be done via BACS by sending it to Ddol Isaf Campsite, Account Number 11507017, Sort Code 08-71-99 (this is a Cash Plus bank account), an email confirming the dates and times of your stay will be sent to you.

Booking and payment is considered the establishment of a legal contract. You can also opt to pay the full amount at the time of your booking. If you pay on arrival, then full payment is due on arrival.

Do you take group bookings?

This is a family site. Family groups are welcome, however maximum occupancy figures are in place so you may need to book a number of pitches.

Can I amend my booking?

Yes, but you are unable to do this online – please email us as ddolisafcampsite@gmail.com or call 07366 673 476 and we will amend the booking for you.
Examples of amendments include change in dates; addition of extra persons, request late check out.

How do I cancel a booking?

Please let us know if you are unable to fulfill your booking. For all cancellations made with more than 30 days remaining then the 15% non refundable deposit will be lost. If you cancel your booking within one month of your stay all monies will be lost.We recommend that holiday insurance is purchased to protect you from loss.

If you wish to transfer the date of your stay outside the cancellation time then your booking must be taken within a 6 month period from the original date of your stay. On cancellation we have the right to resell the booking. All bookings are non transferable. You will not be charged for moving dates unless the cost of the new holiday, is priced differently to your original booking.

There are no refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures. We reserve the right to cancel a holiday at short notice if for unforeseeable circumstances we are unable to provide safe accommodation due to extreme conditions, ill health, fire or administration or any other extenuating circumstance. Under such unlikely circumstances your full payment will be returned.

We cannot accept liability or responsibility for any loss, including consequential loss caused by cancellation.

Arrival and departure FAQs

What time can we check in?

Check in is any time after 12pm. On occasion, we can offer an early check in – this is subject to availability so please arrange beforehand.

Please note the site is not constantly manned, so if we are not on site when you arrive, please call either 07366 673 476 or 01348 874298 and a member of our team will come to meet you.

What time do we need to check out?

Checkout time is 11am. On occasion we can offer a late check out – this is subject to availability so please arrange beforehand.

Can we check in from evening ferry?

Yes, but please tell us via email/call that you are arriving off the ferry, so we know to expect you. We are approximately a 10-minute drive from the terminal.

What do we do when we get there?

Can we bring our dog?

Yes, we welcome dogs and we have the most wonderful walks near the campsite to enjoy with your dogs. Dogs must be kept on a lead whilst on site. Please ensure that you do not allow dogs to wander around the site unattended – we have sheep and cows and other animals in surrounding fields.

Please also clear up after them. Dogs must not be left unaccompanied. We can recommend doggie day care with – please ask us for more details if required.

General FAQS

Can we have a fire/BBQ?

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times. Campfires are only permitted in purpose designed fire pits. They must not block the means of escape and should be positioned 6 metres from cars, tents and other structures and attended by an adult at all times. You must ensure that all fires are fully extinguished after use.

Do you have Wi-Fi?

No.

Is there a play park on site?

No, we do not have a play park but have a lot of green space for traditional outdoor fun.

What is the policy on music and noise?

Background music is totally acceptable as long as it does not disturb or cause nuisance to other visitors. All noise must be kept to a minimum after 10pm and before 8am as a respect to others.

Can I fly a kite, remote control plane or drone?

Due to the proximity of overhead power lines kites/remote control aircraft/drones are not permitted under any circumstances.

Where do we deposit our refuse?

Please sort all of your refuse before placing in the separate receptacles in the recycling bins. All large items (including damaged tents) should be taken home with you.
